Is Elise Neal the new "Single Lady"

 

Elise Neal and “Single Ladies” actor D.B. Woodside are gracing separate covers of the September issue of Denim Magazine.

It is interesting that Elise would be chosen to partake in a double cover with D.B., mainly because her name has been thrown around as a potential replacement for Stacy Dash, who is rumored to have been fired from “Single Ladies” after the first season.

Elise also has a previous relationship with VH1, the channel that produces “Singles Ladies.” Back in 2009, the actress, along with Melyssa Ford and Claudia Jordan, were working on a reality show for the channel titled “Single, Sexy & Starving.”

So, could Elise take on the role of Val and be believable? Only time will tell.

Keyshia Cole Is Headed Back To Reality TV

 

Singer Keyshia Cole recently spoke to Billboard about her new reality series “Family First” and her forthcoming album, the making of which will be chronicled on the show.

The series will center on Keyshia’s writing and recording process, following the disappointing performance of her last album “Calling All Hearts.”

The new record, as well as the show, will be closely overseen by Keyshia’s new manager Kevin Liles, best known for his ‘image enhancing’ work with singer Mary J. Blige and rapper Jay-Z.

Keyshia also discloses news on her second wedding ceremony, which will also be aired on the show. According to Keyshia, it will be a completely different wedding and one that will indeed feature her once estranged mother, Frankie Lons.

Updating the status of her relation with her biological mother, Keyshia recently told her Twitter followers she was “proud” of her mother and that she [Frankie] was finally getting her life back together.

As for when the show will eventually air, Keyshia says she is 100% shooting it on her own and will eventually shop it around to various networks, in hopes that one of them will pick it up.

New Cast of Housewives of LA

 

“Basketball Wives,” VH1′s hit show, is going cross country to Los Angeles. Though the original series takes place in Miami, you’ll still see some familiar faces on the “LA” season when it airs on August 29.

Gloria Govan, the girlfriend of Matt Barnes (of the Los Angeles Lakers) who famously feuded with all the “Basketball Wives” when she appeared on the first season, has surprisingly signed on for the LA season.

Laura Govan, sister to Gloria Govan, is also a cast member . If you don’t remember, Laura was rumored to be having an affair with Shaq while Shaunie was married to him).

The cast also includes:
Kimsha Artest, wife of Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest
Jackie Christie, wife of Doug Christie, former player for the Los Angeles Clippers
Imani Showalter, ex-fiancée of Charlotte Bobcats’ Stephen Jackson

 

Basketball Wives Season 3 Premiers Monday, May 30

 

“Basketball Wives” season 3 will premiere Monday, May 30, and though the trailer gave us a sneak peek into the drama we can expect, Shaunie O’Neal herself disclosed a few exclusive details:

On Royce:
“Royce is back. But truthfully I don’t really deal with her this season. After her behavior at the reunion show, I realized she wasn’t someone I wanted to give my time to. I think the rest of the girls and I have realized that Royce is the type of woman that constantly has to have some sort of drama going on, so we’ve come to expect it. She’s involved in some drama now, with Jen over the leaking of Royce’s pictures. So I try not to deal with her.”

On (new castmate) Meeka Claxton:
“Meeka was very persistent. She reached out to us regularly, emailing her credentials, pictures, really letting us know why she belonged on the show. Well she’s already found some drama. I can’t give too much away but let’s just say, she had to learn the hard way.”

The drama, the fights, that’s real. That’s not something I’m responsible for. I wish all TV had a constant message, but it doesn’t. Our show is just another slice of reality.”

Love & Hip-Hop The Second Time Around...

 

“Love & Hip-Hop” reunion show wasn’t exactly chock full of surprises.


But if you skipped it, or changed the channel after Mama Jones walked off the second time, you missed Angie Martinez’s unceremonious announcement that the show has been picked up for a second season.

Without offering many details, Angie closed out the 90-minute show saying “You will be able to find out what happened with the crew – weddings, successes, failures – because there will be a Season 2 of Love & Hip-Hop later this year.”

And while fans rejoiced at the news, one cast member indicated she wasn’t exactly jumping at the opportunity to put her life on display a second time… And it kind of makes sense, since Fabulous’ baby mama Emily B revealed last night that she’s “done claiming someone who isn’t claiming her.”


Can’t wait to see what new drama unfolds and who joins the cast.

The Return of Basketball Wives

 

The ring-less wives of basketball return with more cat fights, cuss outs, and labels of being coochie crooks. VH1 has sent a press release confirming that the third season of Basketball Wives will premiere on Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m.

The presser gets off with claims of Shaunie moving back to Miami, “determined to be drama free.”  After that lie is exposed viewers can also catch Evelyn new journey, as she transitions from being a non factor in the NBA Wives club to Chad Ochocinco’s new trophy.

As for the other ladies, expect Royce to continue beefing with her fellow ex-baby mamas while both Suzi & Tami trying to renew friendships with their cast mates.
